The SAS Network has been established to strengthen connections between SAS Psychiatrists across Wales, offering a platform for collaboration, peer support, and shared learning.
The Network was formally launched on Friday 9 May at the inaugural RCPsych Wales SAS Network Conference, ‘SAS What’s New?’. This event marked an important milestone in recognising and supporting the valuable contribution SAS psychiatrists make to mental health services in Wales.
Professor Alka Ahuja MBE, Chair of RCPsych in Wales, said:
“We are delighted to welcome our new representatives, who will play a vital role in ensuring that the voices of SAS psychiatrists are heard and supported across Wales. Their leadership will help foster collaboration and professional development within the specialty.
“The establishment of this Network, and the appointment of dedicated representatives, reflects our commitment to valuing, recognising and supporting SAS psychiatrists in their careers. We look forward to working together to strengthen their contribution and enhance patient care.”
