South Asian Heritage Month 2025
The UK, with its rich tapestry of cultures and diverse population, has been at the forefront of developing and implementing transcultural mental health services.
In a free webinar for members to mark South Asian Heritage Month, the College will be celebrating the significant strides made in establishing a truly transcultural psychiatry.
We will be looking at how psychiatry has moved beyond theoretical frameworks and showcasing 'transcultural service in action'.
We will explore the unique aspects of the UK experience, assess its successes, and identify crucial lessons that can inform the future of global psychiatry.
With the College Dean, Professor Subodh Dave, and Dr Sridevi Sira-Mahalingappa, co-chair of the Congress Committee, among the speakers, the event at 1-2pm on Wednesday 7 August is one not to be missed.
