New process for College elections
The College is streamlining the elections process for Honorary Officers, a move which will affect the timetable for the election of the College’s next President.
The changes mean there will be more time for pre-election activities, including the approval of candidates’ statements, and the arranging and promoting of hustings events.
Approving these changes on 18 July, the College’s Board of Trustees agreed to revise the scheduled timing of the Nominations Council meeting for the next President election so it will now take place in January 2026 and nominations will remain open for three weeks after the Council meeting.
Voting will take place in the new year, rather than overlapping with the Christmas holidays.
