New eLearning podcast series: 'Big Questions in Psychiatry'
CPD eLearning is proud to launch a new podcast series: ‘Big Questions in Psychiatry’, looking at the complex and sometimes messy issues shaping psychiatry.
With the help of world experts in the field and utilising a grounding panel of patients, carers, clinicians, learners and service managers, we ask about:
- the philosophical notion of responsibility and its relation to blame in mental illness
 - phenomenology in psychiatry – how do we, either as patients or as clinicians, know what is real and what is not, for example when dealing with hallucinations
 - the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in psychiatry – is AI friend or foe?

Kicking off the series is the first episode: ‘’, whereby Professor Subodh Dave interviews Dr Gwen Adshead, Prof Asif Zia, Dr Tharun Radhakrishnan and Dr Mary Ryan.
The podcast is available on the eLearning Hub where subscribers can gain CPD credits upon completion of a reflective activity, and is also freely available via , and .
Elsewhere on the eLearning Hub, other content released this month is our new podcast: with Dr Claire Jones guest interviewing Dr Jeya Balakrishna, Professor Walter Busuttil and Dr Katrina Peebles, and our new module: , by Dr Catriona Mellor, Dr Ching Li, Dr Alexia Haysom, Dr Kathryn Speedy and Professor Bernadka Dubicka.
We’ve also recently produced a CPD eLearning brochure, a new handy guide where you can view all of the CPD eLearning modules and podcasts in one place. Our extensive list of material is categorised for easy reference and includes information around contributing to our module or podcast collections, as well as subscriptions and MRCPsych preparation information.
