We are looking to recruit several Regional Speciality Representatives across a number of areas:
- Child and Adolescent: Mersey
- Eating disorders: Division-wide
- General Adult (Shared): North West
- Intellectual Disabilities: Division-wide
- Old age (shared): North West
Regional Specialty Representatives are appointed locally to support Regional Advisors and Deputy Regional Advisors by providing expert advice on their psychiatric subspecialty.
The recommended term is five years, though this can vary depending on circumstances. The roles can also be taken up as a shared role with another colleague or alongside any other existing College role.

Job purpose
To facilitate the College’s recruitment strategy in promoting activities aimed at improving recruitment to the CT1 grade in psychiatry. These activities should reflect the overall strategy outlined in the RCPsych current recruitment plan. The College strategy is overseen by the Associate Dean for Recruitment.

Job purpose
- To attend meetings regularly and contribute actively to the working of the Leadership and Management Committee between meetings.
- To uphold and promote the College values of Courage, Innovation, Respect, Collaboration, Learning and Excellence.
- To contribute to College work in supporting and developing leadership and management in psychiatry and promoting the centrality of good clinical leadership and medical management to effective mental health services.
