The Chair:  Has overall responsibility for the members of the Executive Committee.

Our Chair Dr Kapil Bakshi is a Fellow of the 萝莉视频. He is on the GMC specialist register for General Adult Psychiatry with endorsement in substance misuse. He has been on the executive committee of the Eastern division since 2016. Dr Bakshi works as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. He has held management roles including Deputy Medical Director and College Tutor at the Trust. He is also on the Board of a national charity supporting people affected by mental illness and addictions.

The Vice Chair: Is responsible for providing the College Registrar with the number of members in the Division, the number of meetings held each year and details of elected officers.

Our Vice Chair Dr Sepehr Hafizi is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Fulbourn Hospital with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) and Course Lead for the local Core Psychiatry Training Course. At the University of Cambridge, he is an Affiliated Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and a Senior Member of Wolfson College. He serves as Vice Chair and Newsletter Editor for the RCPsych Eastern Division. Dr Hafizi is also Lead Editor of The Cambridge Prescriber’s Guide in Psychiatry, published by Cambridge University Press.

The Finance Officer: Is responsible for keeping account of Division expenditure and submitting a yearly business plan to the Treasurer. Our Financial Officer position is currently vacant.

The Executive Committee also has four elected members, several co-opted and ex-officio members and regional representation from nine Faculties.
