Event Information
Overview
We now look forward to welcoming you to the 2025 CAPFEC Annual Meeting, which will be on Thursday 4 December in Glasgow. We have a relaxed and modern venue at theStudio, which is close to both main train stations.
This year’s focus is on celebrating the excellence and close links between Scottish based academic research and clinical practice. We are therefore delighted to have keynote speeches from Professors Helen Minnis and Ian Kelleher, world leaders in intervention research and the identification and prevention of major mental illness, respectively. Liana Rominuik will dazzle us with the latest in neuroinformatics, and Rhiannon Hawkins will share her fascinating work as a patient advocate in RCPsych and her research on climate change and mental health. We also look forward to hearing Elaine Lockhart’s reflections on her time as chair of RCPsych C&A Psychiatry Faculty, and words of wisdom for the future. More speakers will be announced shortly. We will have rapid fire trainee presentations, and now invite applications for poster presentations.
There will be an informal social gathering afterwards at the local Wetherspoons, with thanks to Graham Walker for local knowledge and arranging. Please do come along and join the pre-Christmas cheer.
A draft programme will be available shortly.
Venue
We will be hosting this year's event at , based on Hope Street in Glasgow and have exclusive use of their 9th floor (accessible by lift).
Just 47 seconds from Glasgow Central Station’s main concourse, Hope Street is one of the city’s finest streets and theStudio occupies the 8th and 9th floors of number 67 with some of the most impressive views of the rooftops and hills beyond.
