Professor Graham Murray: Getting psychosis care right from the start
Professor Murray is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge and a consultant Psychiatrist in the Cambridge early intervention in psychosis service, CAMEO, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Trust.
He studied Physics and Philosophy at the University of Oxford followed by Medicine at King¡¯s College London, then postgraduate psychiatric training in Cambridge and Suffolk, and research training in Cambridge and the University of Oulu in Finland. His research focuses on the causes, mechanisms and treatment of mental illness (mainly psychosis and depression).
He leads the early psychosis workstream of the NIHR Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration (TRC), and the early psychosis workstream of the Mental Health TRC Mission, a large-scale project funded by the NIHR and Office of Life Sciences to improve UK mental health translational research infrastructure, including the flagship Early Intervention Mission.
Professor Rob Howard: Psychosis in Old Age
Professor Howard is a Professor of Old Age Psychiatry at UCL and Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at the North London Partnership Foundation Trust. He has been interested in psychosis in older people and trying to find better treatments for their symptoms for more than 30 years.
Professor Dan Siskind: Managing Cardiometabolic Comorbidity Among People With Severe Mental Illness
Professor Siskind trained as a psychiatrist in Australia and the United States. He works clinically as a psychiatrist in Brisbane, Australia with people with treatment refractory schizophrenia. His research interests include treatment refractory schizophrenia, clozapine and the physical health comorbidities associated with schizophrenia. He has over 300 publications and ?30million in competitive research grants, with over ?3.5 million as CIA.
Dr Anna Conway Morris: Breakout Session 1: ARCP made easy
Dr Conway Morris is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who now works in adult eating disorders services in Cambridge. She is the Head of School for the Eastern Region and is a fellow of the ÂÜÀòÊÓÆµ. Dr Conway Morris is a Neurodevelopmental specialist and is involved in research at the University of Cambridge.
Dr Rebecca Jacob: Breakout Session 2: For Trainees- Portfolios and ARCP¡¯s: Avoiding an Outcome 5!
Dr. Rebecca Jacob is a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist working in Addenbrooke¡¯s Hospital, Cambridge. She has a special interest in student wellbeing and has been involved in setting up mental health services for Higher Education Students at the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. She is actively involved in medical education and has undertaken a variety of formal roles within this area over the past for past ten years. These include that of College Tutor, Training Programme Director, Interim Director of Medical Education and currently Deputy Director of Medical Education in her Trust (CPFT).
Dr David Crepaz-Keay: Psychiatry and Public Mental Health
Dr Crepaz-Keay has worked in the mental health sector for over 30 years. During this time, he has developed national service user networks in ÂÜÀòÊÓÆµ, Scotland and Wales, he has been a chief executive of a national charity, a non-executive director, and vice-chair of a national independent, non-departmental public body.
In recent years his focus has shifted from mental health services to developing a public health approach to mental health. This includes helping to develop public mental health as an academic discipline and taking an evidence based approach to improving public mental health and primary, secondary and tertiary prevention in mental ill-health.
Dr Crepaz-Keay is a former co-chair and now member of the ethics, policy and position committee of the International Society for Psychiatric Genetics and a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health. I have been a technical advisor the World Health Organisation, senior mental health advisor to Public Health ÂÜÀòÊÓÆµ, written a mental health module for the Open University, written, spoken and campaigned for improvements in mental health services.

Homerton College is situated on Hills Road just outside the city centre between the main railway station and Addenbrookes Hospital. All visitors arriving at the College should report to the Porters' Lodge, located in the Mary Allan Building.
Parking
There is ample parking on site, which is free of charge. Please enter the College via Harrison Drive, 100 yards from the main entrance, and continue to the end of this road, where you will find the visitors' car park on the left-hand side.
By train
Homerton College is conveniently located for travel by train. It is only a 15-minute walk from Cambridge's main station. There are regular trains to London King's Cross (approximate journey time 50 minutes) and London Liverpool Street (approximate journey time 1 hour 15 minutes). There are also good connections from Peterborough, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.
By air
The airport closest to Cambridge is Stansted, from where there are good train and taxi connections to Cambridge.
