** Deadline 15 September 2025 (noon) **

Dear colleagues,

As the Acting Chair of the Trainees, New Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals (TNCNAHP) Subcommittee—and incoming Chair from November—I am pleased to invite expressions of interest for the position of Secretary of the TNCNAHP Subcommittee.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about Liaison Psychiatry to become actively involved in shaping the work of the Faculty and contributing to our community of early career professionals. The subcommittee plays a key role in organising the annual TNCNAHP Liaison Conference, supporting engagement across professional groups, and ensuring representation at the Liaison Faculty executive committee.

The post of Secretary is a two-year commitment: one year as Secretary followed by one year as Chair. Both post-holders are co-opted onto the Faculty executive and attend national meetings three times a year. This is a valued opportunity to gain deeper insight into College processes, influence Faculty activities, and build meaningful connections with national leaders and colleagues across the field.

We welcome expressions of interest from:

  • Psychiatry trainees of any grade with an interest in Liaison Psychiatry
  • Newly appointed consultants working in Liaison Psychiatry
  • Nurses or allied health professionals currently working in UK Liaison Psychiatry teams

To apply, please email Rukiyat Babajide rukiyat.babajide@rcpsych.ac.uk  with a short statement (up to 300 words) outlining who you are and why you’re interested

Deadline: 15 September 2025 (noon).

If we receive multiple expressions of interest, we will invite candidates to give a brief (2-minute) introduction during our upcoming virtual TNCNAHP conference on October 31,2025, followed by a vote from attendees.

Dr Ashwin Moothedath Asok
Acting Chair TNCNAHP Subcommittee, RCPsych Liaison Faculty
