Tanya Louise Graham
Lived Experience Advisor
As a lived experience practitioner and an expert by experience of general and forensic inpatient and community mental health services spanning almost two decades, I have developed a clear lens on service provision culture and practices.
My unwavering determination is committed to social justice and equity, both vital to the inescapable transformational change mental health services require, particularly for that of global majority and minoritised communities. Upgrading the access, experience and outcomes for of service users and their families from racialised communities is paramount in my work
All the above has afforded me many opportunities to help shape and improve services in my region of London.
- I am a community cultivator and anti-racist activist.
- I am the 2025 Royal College of Psychiatrist's winner of Patient Carer Outstanding Contribution to Psychiatry alongside my colleague Zoe Lineker.
- I am the 2023 winner of the NHS South London and Maudsley Golden Glow awards.
