I wanted to join the PRDC because I think it’s important for resident doctors to have a voice in shaping their training and future careers in psychiatry. I am interested in both general adult and addiction psychiatry, with a particularly interest in how we can work more collaboratively to care for people with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

I want to work on ensuring there is an equality of training opportunities across the region, and to help make the application process into core training more focussed on genuine interest and commitment to psychiatry.
